The Slavic Humanities Index is a bibliographic database in the field of Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern European Studies. This comprehensive database provides access to scholarly and cultural periodicals published in Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Designed for the academic community and other interested researchers, the index aims to improve accessibility to scholarship from the region and thus aid research in this field. This resource presents a wealth of material for new scholarship, which provides more visibility to contemporary scholarship from the region. The intent of this index is to open the rich world of Slavic humanities to scholarly and cultural communities around the globe. Creators started to add full-text articles to the Slavic Humanities Index with publisher’s permissions. They hope that this will make the index more valuable research tool for Slavic studies.

Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE) is one of the world's most voluminous multi-disciplinary search engines especially for academic open access web resources. This engine collects, normalises, and indexes data using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). BASE provides more than 70 million documents from more than 3,000 sources. Where available, bibliographic data is provided, and the results may be sorted by multiple fields, such as by author, Dewey Decimal Classification or year of publication.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is an online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science and humanities. This directory has index of about 2 million articles from more than 10,000 journals of open-access publishers from 134 countries.
The project defines open access journals as scientific and scholarly journals that meet high quality standards by exercising peer review or editorial quality control and use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access.

Directory of Research Journals Indexing (DRJI) is a free online service that indexes open access research journals and provides own ranking of journals within DRJI database known as "DRJI Value." Also this product works as gateway sharing metadata of indexed articles with social networks, other indexing sources and electronic libraries.
The index of DRJI has about 50,000 articles from 2,300 journals published in 103 countries.

Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (The Electronic Journals Library) is a service to facilitate the use of scholarly journals on the internet. It offers a fast, structured and unified interface to access full-text articles online. It comprises more than 89900 titles from all areas of research, about 18300 of which are available online only. In addition, more than 104800 journals, which are provided by aggregators, are listed. The EZB contains 56743 journals which are accessible free of charge to anyone. Furthermore, the participating libraries provide their users access to the journals they subscribe to. The journals are presented in lists sorted by research area. An updated list is generated by the database according to the member library's specifications each time it is accessed. The Electronic Journals Library was founded in 1997 by the University Library of Regensburg in co-operation with the University Library of Technische Universität München.

General Impact Factor (GIF) This database allows a researcher to identify which articles have been cited most frequently, who has cited them and find out the General Impact Factor (GIF). Publishes the annual Journal Reference Report which list an journal impact factor for each of the journals that it tracks.

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Google Scholar index includes most peer-reviewed online journals of Europe and America's largest scholarly publishers. This product provides the citation indexing features. While Google does not publish the size of Google Scholar's index, third-party researchers estimated it to contain roughly 160 million documents.

InfoBase Indexis a comprehensive, multipurpose database covering scholarly literature from all over the world. InfoBase Index indexes articles, with the database growing every day. The result is an exhaustive database that assists research in every field. Most of the journal titles are peer-reviewed, with new journal titles being added to the collection regularly. InfoBase Index aims at increasing the visibility of open access scholarly journals, thereby promoting their increased usage and impact.

OpenAIRE (Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe) is a project that supports the European Commission Open Access policy by providing an infrastructure for researchers to comply with the European Union Open Access mandate. This repository provides content across academic disciplines with over 11,5 million scientific publications, found in journal articles, dissertations, books, lectures, reports, etc., harvested regularly from more than 610 repositories, from 52 countries.

PKP Index is the project of Public Knowledge Project (PKP). The PKP Index is a database of articles, books, and conference proceedings using PKP's free, open source Open Journal Systems, Open Monograph Press, and Open Conference Systems software applications. The PKP Index includes more than 322000 records indexed from 1000 publications. The Index covers all subject areas and includes content from publishers from around the world. As part of an information resource "Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine" is adjusted full-text search of scientific publications in PDF format. VNLU spent working on the integration of information resource "Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine" to the interface of analytical services, Google Scholar (Google Academy). It contains approximately 2520 - journals; 25372 - issues; 628524 - full texts of articles.
