This article attempts to analyze Hryhir Tyutyunnyk' epistolary texts paying attention to psyhopoetical approach. Mainly attention focuses on reviewing the letter from Anna Mikhailovna to her son, that allow you to trace the origin of the images of the son to his mother and complex relationships between them in the future, which were caused by the betrayal of mother accorging to father. Also the letters from writer to his wife and friends were analysed that depicted difficulties in the relationship between Hryhir and Anna Mikhailovna. The study concluded that the rigid attitude of the mother to her son as a child, unethical behavior caused the hatred of the mother and her feelings during all his life. Gr. Tyuyutyunnyk's correspondence testified that his mother always felt the disapproval of his son and was trying to redeem himself. Permanent financial assistance for the son could not block the painful memories of his childhood. Determined that the correspondence is not only a way of conveying of information, but also a source of intimate inner peace of addressee. Thus, correspondence is an important source for studying writer's personality. We assume that the complex relationship between Hr. Tyutyunnyk and his mother are partially or fully reflected in works of writer's fiction. In future, we see the correlation of personal and artistic in artist's megatext.
