Author Guidelines

  1. Required condition of article acceptance for publication is the availability of innovative research results that had previously never been published. If the materials of the article have been published previously, the author must provide the Editorial Board with bibliographic references of previous publication, justifying the relevance of publishing a new version, and explaining the nature of additions and changes to the last version of the article.
  2. Scientific article should contain the following essential elements:
  • problem definition and its relationship with important scientific and practical tasks;
  • analysis of recent research and publications, which discuss this issue and on which the author relies in his research;
  • unresolved aspects of the problem which is the subject matter of the article;
  • formulation of the article purposes; presentation of the basic material with full justification of scientific results;
  • the findings of this study and recommendations for further research in this direction.

All these elements should be presented in the text, but they need not be graphically pointed.

  1. Requirements to the texts submitted for publication.
  2. Citation and internal text reference to the source should be carried out by Harvard Referencing Style, for example (Rychlo 2008; Gallagher and Greenblatt 2000). If the page of source is indicated, it is fed through the colon, for example (Dzyk 2008: 125). If referencing multiple works from one author released in the same year, the works are allocated a letter (a, b, c etc) after the year. This allocation is done in the reference list so is done alphabetically according to the author's surname and source title (Chervinska 2012a; Chervinska 2012b). If the quotation is greater than 30 words it should be displayed in a smaller font (12 pt) from the new line with paragraph indention. The quotations and references must be verified relative to primary sources.
  3. The article is submitted according the following structure:
  1. The solicited article length should be no less than 4000 and no more than 8000–9000 words (excl. bibliography). In exceptional cases (where the format or the type of material dictates so), other options are accepted. Authors may submit their papers via e-mail pytlit@chnu.edu.ua or via our website http://pytlit.chnu.edu.ua/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions.
  2. By submitting his/her paper to “Pitannâ lìteraturoznavstva”, the author agrees with our magazine’s Editorial Policies, Open Access Policy, Copyright Notice and Privacy Statement.

Materials of the authors who do not meet the requirements won’t be considered.
